Bartending is a profession that is gaining respect and recognition around the world. There are many movies which glorify the life of a bartender as non stop action.
For years, the average bartender was in their early twenties. You have to be able to think quick on your feet, another words make quick decisions. The bartender must know his way in, out and around his bar to avoid confusion and to save time and energy especially when he is catering to a party of a thousand people.
Bartending includes another dark side which is often underestimated. For the non boozer type of drink all that you need to do is just serve the drinks as the guests like. Interviews for bartending jobs are very different then interviews for traditional jobs.
Remember jokes when you hear them and study them on the Internet. This is what makes them higher ranking bartenders.
